Comparing the Power Plate pro5 vs Power Plate pro5 Airdaptive: Both Machines are the same, but the pro5 airdaptive has one extra feature - the airdaptive feature. The term "air" refers to the bumpers in the unit. In the regular Pro5 there are rubber bumpers, in the Pro5 Air there are compressed air bumpers. The rubber bumpers give the same resistance on each hertz setting whereas the air bumpers are adjustable and can be set for more or less stability. The lower the setting, the less stable the unit is going to be, the more of a workout the user will get. The AIRDaptive is really designed with a high performance level in mind, Lots of (pro) athletes use it. Based on the weight category or level, users' muscles are contracting at a high intensity. The air blown "into the muscles" causes less impact on the workout.
